MSI Big Bang-XPower II Motherboard
MSI has officially introduced their newest motherboard, the Big Bang-XPower II. Based on Intel X79 chipset, the board supports for Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge-E (LGA 2011) processors, and features eight DDR3-2400 memory slots (up to 128GB), four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and three PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots. In terms of connectivity ports, it offers six SATA 6.0 Gbps, four SATA 3.0 Gbps, dual Gigabit Ethernet, five USB 3.0 and eight USB 2.0. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet. [MSI]
MSI X79A-GD45 (8D) Motherboard
MSI has unveiled another one of its upcoming motherboard namely the X79A-GD45 (8D). Based on Intel X79 chipset, the board supports for Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge-E (LGA 2011) processors, and features eight DDR3 memory slots (up to 128GB), three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots, two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots and one PCI-Express x1 slot. In terms of connectivity, it offers two SATA 6.0 Gbps, four SATA 3.0 Gbps, four USB 3.0, six USB 2.0 and 7.1 channel audio. Pricing info is still unknown at the moment. [MSI]
